An Interesting Insight on the Blessed Hope - Titus 2:13

‘Looking for’ – Greek word is ‘Prosdechomai’, I wait to welcome, I am looking out for – occurs 14 times in the New Testament/Brit HaDashah.

‘Blessed’ is the word of Messiah’s Beatitudes and occurs 50 times in the New Testament. It is translated ‘happy’ six times.

The Hope is Blessed because –

1) It Believes in the Coming of Christ/Messiah which will be Personal, Physical and Pre-millennial. John 14:1-3.

2) It Breathes the Comfort of Christ/Messiah. 1 Thessalonians 4:18.

3) It Begets more Confidence in Christ/Messiah. 1 Thessalonians 1:10.

4) It Brings full Conformity to Christ/Messiah. 1 John 3:2.

5) It Bestows the Companionship of Christ/Messiah. 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10.

Psalm 90:4. For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

Hosea 6:1-2. Come let us return to the Lord; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight.

In Psalm 90 a day is like a thousand years to the Lord.

In Hosea 6:1-2. Two days can be likened to 2,000 years.

The third day can be seen as the 1,000 millennium rule.

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.” Matthew 24:36.

NB. Of interest as we draw ever nearer to the glorious rapture of the saints as our Lord will take us up at some point.

Our position is that we cannot see the Church from Revelation chapter 6 until we return with The Lord in chapter 19. We understand that others have a different view point and we all shall have to wait and see. We are to be ready and doing the Lord’s work of spreading the Good News to the whosoever. To the Jew first and to the Gentile in prayer, witnessing and supporting missions. Maranatha.

Omein ve Amen.
