(As seen at the end of the 4 Gospels)
Yeshua in Hebrew means salvation. (See Acts 4:12.)
1) As Worshippers of the Messiah.
2) As Workers with Messiah.
3) As Witnesses to the only Messiah.
4) As those Waiting for the Messiah to Return.
1) As Worshippers of the Messiah – Matthew 28:9.
This verse tells us that they (the two Mary’s held Him by the feet and worshipped Yeshua/Jesus. In verse 10 the Lord tells them to inform the brethren to go to Galilee and there they would see Him with their own eyes that death had been defeated, He had risen and was alive for evermore.
Countless millions have worshipped Him since. His Kingdom will have no end, it is written.
2) As Workers with Messiah (Christ) – Mark 16:19-20.
These verses teach us that His disciples saw their Saviour and Lord being taken up into Heaven to sit at the right hand of God (which Jesus told the High Priest he would see – Matthew 26:64) and that His talmidim (disciples/followers) then went out preaching the Gospel, the good news of sins forgiven and seeing many believe with healings accompanying.
3) As Witnesses to the only Messiah – Luke 24:47-49.
Now they were told by the Son of God that repentance and the forgiveness of sins should be preached in His name unto all nations beginning in Jerusalem. They were His witnesses of His death and glorious resurrection. They would now be given power by God to do this and the rest is history. The Bible has never been disproved and it is the most printed book in history. Unbelievers have banned it, then burnt it and today belittle all to no avail.
4) As those Waiting for the Messiah to Return – John 21:22. (cf. John 16:22, 28; Rev 2:25-26; 22:7)
Adonainu Yeshua – our Lord Jesus spoke of His death, resurrection and His return in glory and power. Again no one has ever disproved anything He has said. Our Saviour is neither a liar nor a lunatic but Lord and one day every knee shall bow before Him. In our verses above Jesus stated He would return. As we look around that day is drawing ever nearer! The signs of His Second Coming to renew the earth, to then reign and rule to see righteousness and equality on the Earth will come about in His perfect timing.
