Introduction: The Psalms truly give us the lessons of life and are perhaps the most widely used book in the Holy Bible apart from the Gospels and The Book of Revelation from the Brit HaDashah (The N.T.)
Proposition: This is the only Psalm of Moses (Moshe) and its main theme is the eternal Presence, Power, Privilege and Peace of God towards mankind. Why? Because the Lord God Almighty as Creator knows the beginning to the end. Amen and Hallelujah.
1) We need the grace of God – verse 1.
2) We are to seek God’s mercy because of our secret sins – verse 8, 14.
3) We are to number our days – verse 12.
4) We are not to be distracted or derailed by the things of this world – verse 15.
5) We are to continue to fear God. cf. Deut 30:20.
6) We are to ask God to establish our works – v17.
7) We are not to lose our witness but finish the race set before us.
