Key verse: Psalm 96:13. For He cometh, for He cometh to judge the earth; He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His truth.
The number 4 is associated with the earth, we have four main directions and points of the compass – North, South, East, West, then there are four seasons – Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. There are the Four Horsemen of the Tribulation period – Rev C6.
1) The Believer’s Doctrine – For yet a little while, and He that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Hebrews 10:37. cf. read – Habakkuk 2:2-3.
1 John 3:2. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be; but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. (read Rev 5:9-10 as this shows His blood bought Church, Jews & Gentiles in Heaven before Rev 6:1 to 19:16 happens! Israel had the sacrificial system, Yeshua was our sacrifice)
2) The Disciples Desire – Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. Titus 2:13.
And to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 1:10. (cf. 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11).
(We are not appointed unto His wrath to come – read Rom 5:9; Rev 3:10-11; 6:16-17.)
3) The Saints Deliverance – For the Lord himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God; and the dead in Messiah shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18.
4) The Sinner’s Dread – He cometh to judge the earth; with righteousness shall He judge the world, and the people with equity. Psalm 98:9.
A. God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil. Ecclesiastes 12:14.
B. Behold, He cometh with clouds, and every eye shall see Him; and they also which pierced Him; and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen. Revelation 1:7.
C. “Behold, I come quickly; blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.” He that is unjust, let him be unjust still; and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still; and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still; and he that is holy, let him be holy still. “And behold, I come quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every man according as his work shall be.” “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.” Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the Tree of Life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. He that testify these things saith, “Surely I come quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Adonai Yeshua. The grace of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, be with you all. Amen. Revelation 22:7; 11-14; 20-21.
