The first verse of this Psalm speaks of Adonai Yeshua as our Shepherd.
Using the word Shepherd as an acrostic it shows us what kind of a shepherd L’Adonai Yeshua – The Lord Jesus is: –
S – supplying. I shall not want – verse 1.
H – heavenly. – The Lord – verse 1.
E – encouraging. – Fear no evil – verse 4.
P – preparing. – Thou preparest – verse 5.
H – healing. – He restoreth my soul – verse 3.
E – encompassing. – Before me; with me; after me – verses 2, 4, 6.
R – righteous. – Paths of righteousness – verse 3.
D – delivering. – I will fear no evil, for Thy rod and staff they comfort me – verse 4.
