Simchat Torah is Hebrew for “the joy of Torah.” It is a celebration, often accompanied by dancing and singing, to mark the completion of the annual reading of this section of the Bible. It is not mentioned in the Holy Bible but was added in to mark the end of the Torah readings so that people would have a systematic reading cycle.
With reading comes the study of God’s Word, the Holy Scriptures and we can note Deuteronomy 29:29.
The secret things belong to the Lord our GOD, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law. – Deuteronomy 29:29.
The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant. Psalm 25:14.
It is the glory of GOD to conceal a thing, but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. Proverbs 25:2.
And hath made us kings and priests unto GOD and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Revelation 1:6.
