Islam – Its Origins and History

1) The Beginning – Genesis 21:8-10.

And the child grew and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned. And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking. Wherefore she said unto Abraham, “Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.”

2) Ishmael as Muslims father – Genesis 21:13.

And also, of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.

Genesis 25:12-18. 12 Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s handmaid, bare unto Abraham: 13 And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam, 14 And Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa, 15 Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah: 16 These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their towns, and by their castles; twelve princes according to their nations. 17 And these are the years of the life of Ishmael, an hundred and thirty and seven years: and he gave up the ghost and died; and was gathered unto his people. 18 And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that is before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his brethren.

3) Its Near Destruction – Genesis 21:16.

Then she went and sat down across from him at a distance of about a bowshot: for she said, “Let me not see the death of the boy.” So she sat opposite him, and lifted up her voice, and wept.

4) First instance of Arab opposition towards Yisrael – Nehemiah 2:19-20.

But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite official, and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they laughed at us and despised us, and said, “What is this thing that you are doing? Will you rebel against the king?” So, I answered them, and said to them, “The God of heaven Himself will prosper us; therefore, we His servants will arise and build, but you have no heritage or right or memorial in Jerusalem.”

5) Ridicule of the Jews – Nehemiah 4:1-10.

But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, he was furious, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews. And he spoke before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? Will they fortify themselves? Will they sacrifice? Will they make an end in a day? Will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned? Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, Even, that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall. Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity: And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee: for they have provoked thee to anger before the builders. So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work. But it came to pass, that when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth, And conspired all of them together to come and to fight against Jerusalem, and to hinder it. Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them. 10 And Judah said, The strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed, and there is much rubbish; so that we are not able to build the wall.

6) Islamic awakening – Psalm 68:31.

Envoys will come out of Egypt; Ethiopia will quickly stretch out her hands to God.

7)  Islam versus Yisrael – Psalm 83:1-8.

Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.  For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against thy people and consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee: The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;  Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assur also is joined with them: they have helped the children of Lot. Selah.

8) Fate of those who oppose Yisrael – Isaiah 60:12.

For the nation and kingdom which will not serve you shall perish. And those nations shall be utterly ruined.

9) Jewish domination – Genesis 24:60.

And the blessed Rebekah said to her: “Our sister, may you become the mother of thousands of ten thousands; and may your descendants possess the gates of those who hate them.” (The whosoever!)

10) Arabs opposing God – 2 Chronicles 26:1.

Now all the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king instead of his father Amaziah.  Verse 7. God helped him against the Philistines, against the Arabians who lived in Gur Baal, and against Meunites. (Arabs south of Petra).

11) Arab enemies – Nehemiah 6:1.

Now it happened when Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arab, and the rest of our enemies heard that I had rebuilt the wall, and that there were no breaks left in it (though at that time I had not hung doors in the gates).

12) Arab converts – Acts 2:1, 11-12.

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.  (Unity – Halleluyah)

Verse 11. Cretans and Arabs we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.

Verse 12. So, they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean.”

The rest is history, Halleluyah. Yisrael Chai.     Spoilt in part by a false church BUT that’s another teaching sermon.

“Bo Adonai Yeshua bo, come Lord Jesus come.”
