The Rapture

The Second Coming

Jesus appears in the sky then ascends up to Heaven.

Jesus appears in the sky and then descends to the Earth.

The resurrected Church, those dead and those alive meet Jesus in the clouds.

Mortal believers left alive, called Tribulation Saints, meet Jesus down on the earth.

The Rapture takes place as fast as a blink of an eye.

The Second Coming is drawn out over a number of days.

Jesus leaves behind those onthe earth who are not saved, the Unrighteous to begin enduring the wrath of God.

Jesus returns and confronts those on the earth who are not saved, the Unrighteous to finish enduring the wrath of God.

The Rapture depicts the deliverance of the Church from God’s wrath.

The Second Coming depicts the deliverance of Israel and Tribulation Saints still alive.

The Mount of Olives in Jerusalem remains unchanged. 

The Mount of Olives splits in two when Jesus lands on it forming a new valley.

The world remains left unjudged and still living in the horrible condition of sin and lawlessness.

The world is now judged and righteousness is established. Jesus now reigns and rules for a 1,000 years.

Satan remains free to cause havoc and death. 666 system.

An angel captures Satan and throws him in the bottomless pit for a 1,000 yrs.

The Rapture is an imminent event in that no signs need to precede it for it to happen. 

The Second Coming is preceded by 7 years of events that must take place before The Lord Jesus returns.
