The 6 H’s of a Disciples Service unto the Lord.
1) Holiness – 1 Thessalonians 2:10. Luke 1:75.
You are witnesses and God also, how devoutly and justly and blamelessly we behaved ourselves among you who believe. 1 Thessalonians 2:10.
In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life. Luke 1:75.
2) Humility – The Book of Acts 20:19. James 4:6.
Serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears and trials which happened to me by the plotting of the Jews. Acts 20:19.
But He gives more grace. Therefore, He says: God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. James 4:6. (Humility cures worldliness)
3) Hope – 1 Corinthians 9:10. James 5:7.
Or does He say it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt this is written, that he who ploughs should plough in hope, and he who threshes in hope should be partaker of his hope. 1 Corinthians 9:10.
Therefore, be patient brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.
4) Holding Faith and a Good Conscience – 1 Timothy 1:19.
Having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck.
5) Holding Fast the Faithful Word – Titus 1:9.
Holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.
6) Holding Forth the Word of Life – Philippians 2:16.
Holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Messiah that I have not run in vain or laboured in vain.
The Threefold Working of the Lord.
1) The Lord working for us – John 17:3-4. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God and Yeshua HaMashiach whom You have sent. I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.
2) The Lord working with us – Mark 16:20. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.
3) The Lord working in us – Hebrews 13:20-21. Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Yeshua from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Yeshua HaMashiach, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
