1) To Gethsemane’s Torment – The Cup of Suffering. (Only 3 of the 12 near, Peter, James and John)
2) To Gabbatha’s Trial – The Crown of Thorns. (Only 2 of the 12 were near, Peter and John)
3) To Golgotha’s Torture – The Cross of Shame. (Only one of the twelve was near, John)
4) To the Grave – To conquer sin, death, the Devil and Hell. (Only He could do this).
5) To Glory – To sit at the right hand of His Father as it was promised and written. (His reward).
Our Lord went farther than anyone else could go – He became the Sin Offering.
