Our First Key verse is found in Isaiah 40:31. ‘But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint’
Most sermons have soteriological and eschatological teachings. So let us now see some examples of this in the physical and in the spiritual: –

That is if you want to rise above the spiritually dead level.
We need the wings of Christian character and vocation. We are to be ministers of the Gospel and ambassadors for Christ Jesus.Jesus, the world’s Saviour kept His wing of character spotless.
Locust wings are thinner than paper and are also transparent. The ribs on their wings are like those of a tender leaf. They are thinner than paper, yet they achieve 200 strokes a second!
The crow flaps its wings in clear weather and when the weather changes it glides. The wild duck takes twice as long for the spreading downbeat of its wings as it does for the upbeat. When we are anchored in Christ we have perfect control spiritually and physically.
With wings the eagle may hover and then settle on the topmost crag of the High Sierras. A lone eagle flew high across the Atlantic Ocean, above the stormy waves. In like manner we fly above the storms of life, the chaos and darkness of this world. We have been set free, we are to mount up on eagles’ wings, we are to be totally dedicated disciples unto our Lord and our God. Truly – “In Him we live and move and have our being.” Amen.
Our Second Key verse is found in Ruth 2:12. “The Lord God repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge.” This verse teaches us 5 things that His people find –
Psalm 57:1. “Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; and in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, until these calamities have passed by.”
Psalm 36:7. “How precious is Your lovingkindness O God! Therefore, the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.”
Psalm 63:7. “Because You have been my help, therefore, in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.”
Psalm 91:4. “He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge. His truth shall be your shield and buckler.”
Matthew 23:37-38. The words of Yeshua.
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See your house is left to you desolate, for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, Blessed is He who cometh in the name of the Lord!”
