The Gospel of Jesus Christ

The word translated “Gospel” means “a good message”. It was originally used to describe news of a military victory brought by a messenger to hid commander.

It then came to simply mean “good news”.

In the New Testament it means the Good News of salvation. Yeshua came to earth to conquer the sin and evil which plagued the world by living a sinless life and sacrificing Himself on the cross. The Good News is Yeshua’s life-giving message to a world that is dying in its sin.
