The Promises of God towards Israel

The Promise given to Avraham.

Bereshith/Genesis 12:3. “I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

 

The Promise to Moshe and to all who Believe.

Devarim/Deuteronomy 30:20. ‘That you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in ha Eretz shel Yisrael which Adonai swore to your fathers,       Avraham, Yitzchak* and Ya’aqov.’ *He will laugh. Cf. Psalm 2:4.

 

The Promise of God given through Isaiah.

Isaiah 40:1. “Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” Says your God.

Nachamu, Ken, Nachamu Ami.   Yisrael ahuvi – Israel My Beloved.

Isaiah 43:3, 5-6, 10-12.  Isaiah 25:7-9 cf  Isaiah 2:2-4.

 

The Promise of God to those who understand.

 

Proverbs 27:18. Whoever keeps (protects and tends) the Fig Tree will eat its fruit. (Who? Is the Fig Tree) Let us continue with the 2nd part of the verse – So he who waits on his Master will be honoured. Who is our Master, the Lord God Almighty

 

The Promise to Yeremiah.

Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 51:19-20.

The Portion of Jacob is not like them, For He is the Maker of all things; And Israel is the tribe of His inheritance. The Lord of hosts is His name. “You (speaking of Israel) are My battle-ax and weapons of war: For with you I will break the nation in pieces; With you I will destroy kingdoms.”
