The Saints Progress
In Grace

Key thoughts: –

a, We have a ‘God of all grace’ and a Saviour ‘full of grace’ to draw from –But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen and settle you.  1 Peter 5:10.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.   John1:14.

b, It was grace that brought Messiah from the glory down to earth.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9.

c, A sufficient supply for all time.

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 2 Cor 9:8.

8 points of a new beginning for us to learn from: –

GRACE is now and forevermore – God’s Righteousness At Christ’s Expense.

1)     Salvation is by the Lord’s Grace – Ephesians 2:8-9.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

(We are an anointed people. In Him we live and move and have our being. Amen.)

2)     We are Standing in Grace – Romans 5:1-2.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

(We are not to falter or look back, we stand in righteousness.)

3)     We are Taught by Grace – Titus 2:11-13.

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us   that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ (Yeshua HaMashiach).

(The old has gone the new has come. In Him we live and move and have our being.)

4)     Growing in Grace – 2 Peter 3:18.

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

(We continually grow in Him year upon year, onwards and upwards.)

5)     Speaking in Grace – Colossians 4:6.

Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

(We are to be Messiah/Christ like in all things of words, deeds and actions.)

6)     Ministering in Grace – Ephesians 4:29-30.

Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

(We must not just talk but also walk in holiness of life before a Holy God.)

7)     Stability in Grace – Isaiah 33:6. 2 Peter 3:18.

Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times, And the strength of salvation; The fear of the Lord is His treasure.

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

(Here are two wonderful verses to treasure in our hearts, obedience brings blessings.)

8) Who of us are Sufficient in these things – 2 Cor 12:9.

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

(We are all sojourners, we are all just passing through, Heaven is our real home.)
